Vincent points down.

"We need to help that girl!" he cries out.

Komachi stops mid-flight and looks down. Her eyes widen as she realizes what is happening. The girl seems helplessly cornered. The creatures are closing in. She doesn't seem to have the means to defend herself.

"Hang on!" she says.

Before he can reply, they dive down at an alarming speed. Vincent grabs tightly to Komachi in reflex, but she doesn't complain. After a few seconds, he feels himself falling to the ground. He lands on his feet safely, though the pain in his legs is excruciating.

"D-damn that hurt!" he shouts.

"Behind you!" Komachi cries.

She swings her scythe widely. Off goes the beast's head.

"Iyaaah!" the girl cries.

Both of them turn toward her. One of the beasts sneaked from the back and is only a few yards from the girl. There isn't enough time to save her.

[Yes, there is.]

Vincent starts running toward the girl. He knows he won't make it, but he has to try.

[This task is petty for us.]

He loses track of time as he dashes and swings his sword at the creature. He feels his sword penetrate the creature's eyes.

"RAAAAWWWRRR!" it cries in anguish.

"Get down!" Komachi shouts.

He drops down on the ground as Komachi swings her scythe. The second creature drops lifelessly on the ground.

"That was impressive," she says as she takes a glance at him. "But it isn't over yet. These things seem to be perfectly alive, and I think that means trouble for the both of us."

Vincent nods in agreement. He takes a glance at the girl. She looks too scared to fight or run.

He prepares his battle stance.
[ ] Go on full offensive. Kill them all!
[ ] Support Komachi. She may need help.
[ ] Protect the girl. She might get hurt or killed.
[ ] Custom

He thinks about his weapons.
[ ] Use the longsword.
[ ] Use the crossbow.
[ ] Use the gun.
