[X] Approach Youmu and see if you can help.

---

Vincent feels a little dizzy, but it isn't severe enough to hinder him from helping out. There is still one person cooking in the kitchen. Youmu is a blur moving between two different counters. A glance tells him that she is almost finished cooking, but surely, she will appreciate the gesture.

He remembers seeing that guy earlier (Grim-something?) helping the half-ghost. He should help out, as well. Without further hesitation, he approaches Youmu cheerfully.

"Need any help?" he asks.

"No thanks," says Youmu, not meeting his eyes. "The others are already in the dining room."

Vincent rubs his head innocently.

"I'll feel bad if I don't help you out, even just a little bit." he says.

Youmu turns to glare at him. He shivers slightly at her cold blue eyes. Her tone of voice is just as icy.

"It is not necessary," she says. "You will just get in the way."

She sounds so formal, perhaps even a little angry. She returns to her work and proceeds to ignore his presence. Did he do something wrong? He better try to clear up any misunderstanding while they are alone together. Putting on his most sincere face, he clears his throat before speaking.

"So, did I do something wrong?" asks Vincent.

"..."

"If I did anything to offend you, I'd like to apologize."

"..."

"Despite the circumstances, I'd like to think of us as friends."

"Stupid," whispers Youmu suddenly.

"W-what?" says Vincent.

Youmu turns to face him. This time, he is completely sure that the half-ghost is angry.

"I don't know whether you are just playing the idiot or you really are this dense," she says. "Either way, I would really appreciate it if you would leave me alone for a while."

"I-I don't understand," he mumbles.

"And that seems to be the main problem," returns Youmu. "Just leave."

"B-but!" he argues.

Youmu's final glare sends chills down his spine. Suddenly, he recalls yesterday's incident. No need to mention that she was pretty angry when she discovered that he had tied her up and gagged her. But that isn't the scary part. The way she is looking at him now; somehow he feels that it is much worse.

"Please," she says. The way she says that word fills him with dread.

He mumbles something like an apology before turning to leave. As he rushes toward the door, he clumsily trips on his feet. Youmu doesn't say anything; she just continues with her work. Half-walking, half-running, he somehow makes it out of the kitchen with all of his limbs intact.

"What the hell was that?" he mutters to himself.

Youmu doesn't seem to be in a talkative mood, and sticking around the kitchen seems dangerous.

[ ] Return to your room. Some time alone might help.
[ ] Head for the dining room. Everyone else should be there.
[ ] Wander aimlessly around the mansion. You need to clear your head.
[ ] Wait quietly outside the kitchen. This may not be so smart, but...
